Services we provide

Proficiency Testing is the evaluation of participant performance against pre-established criteria by means of interlaboratory comparisons” [ ISO/IEC 17043:2010, 3.7]. Proficiency Testing is one of the important tools that enable laboratories to evaluate and improve performance, and maintain and fulfill mandatory accreditation requirements. They provide an independent assessment of the laboratory data and compare it to reference values or the performance of similar laboratories.

Process And Features
1

Features and Process

Proficiency testing is an essential part of laboratory quality procedure and participation is a mandatory requirement of ISO 17025 accreditation. Proficiency testing provides an independent assessment of your laboratory performance and compares your results to laboratories worldwide

2

Features and Process

We provide various PT schemes in the field of Oil and Gas Products such as Gasoil, Jet Fuel, MOGAS, etc. The main activities of AHPTS are: designing the Proficiency Scheme, Receiving / Collection of samples, Sample Preparation (as applicable) of test items, dispatching to selected & approved Laboratories, collecting the results, statistical analysis of results, and delivering the results to participants. In addition to our regular PTS, AHPTS organizes customized PT programs.

3

Features and Process

We offer a variety of PT plans in the area of construction materials such as carbon steel bars, concrete cubes, asphalt, etc. Designing the Proficiency Scheme, receiving/collecting samples, sample preparation (as appropriate), dispatching to approved laboratories, gathering results, statistical analysis of results, and communicating results to participants are the main activities of AHPTS. AHPTS arranges specialized PT programs in addition to our standard PTS.

Utilizing efficient Quality Control (QC) technologies to monitor the quality of the analytical data will help prevent the discarding of good product and the discharge of non-conforming items. An external reference point that the laboratory has no direct control over should be included in the QC instruments used in laboratories. Key external quality controls include resources like reference materials (RM) and proficiency testing (PT) that are obtained from an external and independent quality source. Achieving accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 General standards for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories requires careful attention to the quality control of laboratory results.

What is Proficiency Testing (PT)?

• Proficiency Testing (PT) is the name used by the International Standards Organization (ISO) for a procedure also known as “inter-laboratory study” or “external quality assessment”.
• The ISO/IEC 17025 – 7.7.2 – P:22 accreditation of a laboratory includes a requirement to monitor the quality of analytical results through PT involvement.
• Proficiency testing, in simple terms, comprises a sample sent to a group of laboratories for measurement. The labs know what might be in the sample, but they don’t know exactly what is there or the concentration.
• The most typical application of proficiency testing is to show a regulatory agency or accreditation body that a laboratory is qualified and competent to carry out a particular analytical test or technology.

Benefits of PT

• Confirming competent performance
• Identifying testing or measurement problems
• Comparing methods and procedures
• Improving performance
• Educating staff
• Instilling confidence in staff, management and external users of laboratory services
• Comparing operator capabilities
• Generating reference materials
• Determining method precision and accuracy
• Satisfying regulators and accreditation bodies
• Providing laboratories with additional risk management

How to apply?

Step 1: Sign up for a “PT program” promoted by a PT provider (AL-Hadeetha company).
Step 2: Pay the registration cost, if required, and give the PT Provider the payment documentation.
Step 3: A PT sample will be provided to your laboratory. As part of usual work, analyze the PT sample.
